Q-Switch Laser (Bleaching, Fine Hair Laser Hair Removal)
Today, laser treatments can be used for many different areas. This is because laser treatments are safe and effective for the skin in experienced hands.
One of the purposes of using laser is to get rid of unwanted hair. Although many people have heard of this method called laser epilation, laser hair bleaching is a generally unknown issue. Laser hair bleaching targets the thin but brown/black hairs that the epilation laser cannot see, making them yellow and making the person look better cosmetically. Some of these hairs will fall out over time, but since this shedding effect is not observed in every patient, the aim here is not epilation, but the temporary inconspicuousness of these hairs, which cannot be seen by epilation lasers but also makes the person uneasy.
However, some of the shed hairs do not grow back. For the regrowth of hair, we continue to bleach our patients’ hair every 2-3 months.
Laser feather bleaching is done with the Q Switch Nd-Yag laser device. This device is a laser device that we use quite frequently in our clinic, in tattoo removal treatments, in the treatment of skin blemishes, and in carbon peeling procedures, as well as in our daily practice.
Q Switch Laser Feather Bleaching
Laser hair bleaching is a method generally used for thin and light-colored hair that cannot be removed by laser epilation. In this method, in which the Q Switch laser is used, the amount of melanin in the hair is reduced and the color of the hair is lightened to an extent that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Q Switch lasers are frequently preferred in the cosmetic world because they show effective results and have no side effects in the right hands. After hair bleaching with the Q Switch laser, not only does the hair turn yellow, but there is also some lightening in the general skin color and lightening of the skin. After the treatment, some of our patients also experience hair loss. Lost hairs can also be seen as permanent shedding.
Is Q Switch Laser Hair Bleaching Permanent?
Since thin and light-colored hair cannot generally be treated with a laser epilation device, the hair bleaching method is applied to these hairs. Q Switch laser, which targets the melanin in thin hairs, uses a laser beam of a certain wavelength to help the hairs become so light that they cannot be seen on the skin.
The effects of hair bleaching with Q Switch laser are not permanent. Although it varies from person to person, the procedure is often repeated every 2-3 months.
The aim of laser hair bleaching is not to destroy the hairs, but to lighten their colors. However, if regular sessions are held, a certain thinning of the hairs can be achieved. Although this method is not as effective as laser epilation, effective results can be obtained when applied regularly.
Side Effects of Laser Hair Bleaching
The laser beams sent under the skin during laser hair bleaching do not have any harmful effects. Because the rays used during laser are not at a level that would harm human health.
There will be no permanent damage to your skin during laser hair bleaching. Only people with sensitive skin may experience temporary redness in the laser applied area. This redness usually disappears within half an hour.
It is possible to feel a slight sting during the procedure.
Things to Consider When Hair Bleaching with Laser
Hair bleaching with laser does not cause any pain to the person. However, since your skin may be irritated after the treatment, you should avoid exposure to the sun immediately after the treatment and use sunscreen of at least SPF 30 when going out in the sun.
The redness that occurs after the treatment will disappear within half an hour. During this period, you can use the creams recommended by your dermatologist to provide relief in the relevant area. During the healing process, you should keep the area clean and not apply chemical procedures.
